I have a Boxer & 3 Norwich Terriers. They all have big mouths and this collar has worked out very well.
Customer Service is the best (Thank Wendell☺)

My dog had an older version of this collar that I would put on him occasionally until he lost it in the woods. I ordered a replacement unit and synced it up to his controller with no problems whatsoever. However, this model requires that I turn on the collar when I put it on the dog. Since the older model was motion-activated without an on/off button, I rarely remember this step, so he usually just has a dummy collar on that does nothing if I try to vibrate him. The button is also a bit finicky, so I think I have turned it on when it is actually still off. Fortunately, he learned quickly that he doesn't like the collar vibrating and mostly behaves anytime he is wearing it, regardless of whether it is on or off.
I only give this a four star instead of a three because the customer service at this company is great. This is the second time I have had to contact them about an issue, and they always respond promptly and helpfully. That is rare enough today that it justifies an additional star. I do wish they would go back to the old motion-activated model, though.
Note: The picture still seems to show the older, preferred model. This is not the model you will actually receive. The new model has an on/off button.

No problem syncing this one up to the old controller , the old collar had a motion sensor that would shut down when not in use which seemed to save the battery. The new one stays on all the time and when you go to use it the battery is dead or you need to press the button to turn on and will stay on for a short period of time. So either you leave on the dog and remember to press the power button each time or the battery is dead or take it off the dog each time and plug it into the charger and re-attach. We only use the vibration part to stop excessive barking and it works but find with the new replacement it is out of power most of the time.

Our 7 month old has done so well with what we call his "gentleman's collar". We get comments all the time about how well behaved he is and it is so nice to not be tangled in leashes when he is greeting and playing with other dogs.
So, when he went swimming with the collar and shorted it out we had to have a replacement. Dogwidgets responded immediately to my request and we got the replacement collar promptly with instructions on how to pair with the controller and to contact them with any questions.
Great service! Scout and I are happy that he is back to his "gentleman" ways. Actually I kept the non-functioning collar on him while waiting for the replacement and he behaved well then too. His behavior is good with or without the collar now.
